web2.0…and just about all other businesses, especially service businesses:  The internet has turbocharged information exchange.  People recommend businesses to their friends via email; send their email list links to their favorite websites; visit business-review websites like Yelp.com to decide where to spend their money; share interests on social media sites like Facebook; and of course, read the news.

So in effect, the internet has made us all more transparent.  If you’re doing something you shouldn’t be doing or saying, there’s a good chance that one of your patients is going to “spill the beans” somewhere on the internet, and it will be indexed by Google for eternity.  How’s that for advertising?

But hold on… this new trend can be used to your advantage, too!  Smart chiropractors are using multiple “veins” of the internet to promote their businesses.  Websites, blogs, email autoresponders, PRWeb press releases, webinars, podcasts, and so on are just some of the tools available to announce your services online.   Best part about it is that patients these days spend more time online than looking at traditional media like newspapers and television, and we all know what those charge for advertising.
