You’ve Got to See This — Open Now
I mentioned many times over the years that today’s healthcare consumer is more informed, thanks to the internet and social media. Never before has so much information been quickly accessible to the consumer. (Marketing) claims can be researched and verified in a few keystrokes. Businesses and products can be compared and contrasted in the same way. There is no hiding. As a business owner, it is critical that you accept this shift and make the appropriate adjustments. This is not the area to be a “contrarian.” Let go of the chiropractic dogma and listen to your customers. Forget about “educating” your patients– they did not come to see you to get educated! They come to see you to get out of pain and to be able to move better so that they can do the things they love to do without any physical limitations. That’s it; no more, no less.
Here is clear evidence that what I say is correct. These are a few screenshots of a local chiropractor’s Yelp profile. This guy is stuck in the 1980′s and has blinders on. Don’t brush this off; this is the core reason why only between 6-12% of the population sees chiropractors, which has not changed in decades despite the profession’s best efforts. It hurts everyone.
Remember, these are screenshots of actual, honest reviews from actual people. This is what they are thinking, folks– take heed if you are engaging in any of these practices. Names have been omitted for privacy.
